Dazzle Your Season December 19th
Next Friday night my band returns to Dazzle for our annual holiday show. This will be the world premiere of two of my original songs that I wrote at the Ucross Residency and a new one by Eric Moon. They are, without a doubt, a super exciting next step for the band. There are three part vocals, Eric Moon singing lead and me playing guitar! In addition, we’ll be covering our seasonal bases with a couple of obscure holiday tunes, including our unique arrangement of Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairies. This is our 2nd annual Swing the Season show and I’m looking forward to it big time. You can buy your tickets in advance here for the 7:00 show and 9:00 o’clock shows. If you come to the late show, come have a beer with the band afterwards!
The show concludes a successful year of releasing our new album “Dream A Little Dream.” It did incredibly well on both the Roots Music Western Swing charts, as well as the Folk DJ charts. Now, we are writing new material and gearing up for the next season.
I can’t begin to express how enjoyable it is to have such a collaborative musical experience with these guys. Behind the scenes, Eric Moon comes up with vocal harmonies on the spot and has some delightful originals yet to share. Charlie Mertens is game for any vocal and always adds wonderful musical touches to our arrangements. Greg Schochet is, well, the voice of reason, tasteful and swingin.’
Thank you to all of you who have supported us, both in Kickstarter, at our shows, musically and just by being cool people in our lives. I’m so thankful for all the wonderful people who have kept us moving forward! Hope to see you next Friday night, with bells on 🙂
