With the summer officially wrapped up, I’m having to admit that it is actually fall. I had a great summer promoting the now half new album “SNAPSHOT.” Charlie Mertens, Yaniv Salzberg, Eric Moon and Brian McRae were great musical support. Some of the gigs that stuck out for me were New West Fest, Carbon Valley Festival, Sherbino Theater, Ridgeway Concert series, Blue Star Festival (benefiting children with cancer), Monatan Fiddle Camp, Midsummer Days String camp, Lannie’s Clocktower and ofcourse, Steve’s Guitars, Swallow Hill Hot Club of Cowtown show and the Dazzle CD release was loads of fun, there were many more, but alas, there will be more blogs. We also played several radio shows KGNU and KRFC were among them. The National Oldtime Fiddlers Festival steals my heart every year. Late night jams, seeing old friends and this year I had several students compete. I placed 3rd in the Grand Champion Division this year. What a whirlwind summer!
What’s next? Hybernating….I’m working on new tunes to hopefully go into the studio with in the spring. I hope to do some co-writing with Eric Moon and Yaniv Salzberg. Stay tuned for my black tie SPEAKEASY concert series this winter. Not only will it be a treat for me, but a surprise for you!
